The Estonian backpacker who was reported missing last week was found safe and well at a property in Sydney’s north shore on Friday afternoon.
Pirjo Kukk, 28, seemingly disappeared on Wednesday when her belongings, including a laptop, small backpack and sleeping bag, were found on Elouera Beach in Cronulla.
New South Wales Police then carried out extensive air, sea and land searches, but to no avail.
At about 4.40pm on Friday evening, Ms Kukk contacted a friend who then contacted authorities.
Police remain unsure as to the whereabouts of Ms Kukk during the 72 hours she was believed missing.
