Four-wheel-drives are a popular way to get around Fraser Island
A four-wheel-drive (4WD) carrying seven people rolled on Fraser Island this morning, injuring two people.
The 4WD rolled three kilometres south of Eurong on the eastern beach at about 9.45am (AEST) on Tuesday.
The vehicle was carrying seven people. One of the injured is Australian while the other is believed to be a German traveller.
An Australian man was treated for back and neck injuries, the German for an injured arm before they were airlifted to Hervey Bay Hospital.
The other five passengers were treated for minor injuries by ambulance officers at the scene.
The Sunshine Coast Daily reported the vehicle may have been travelling close to the edge of the water when the crash happened.
The crash follows the death of two backpackers in April when eleven people in a 4WD were travelling along the beach near Dundaburra when the vehicle rolled after the driver apparently swerved to avoid a wave.
Restrictions have since been enforced, limiting the the amount of passengers per vehicle to seven.
Police are continuing investigations into both accidents.
