Police in Bunbury, Western Australia, are seeking public help to find a German traveller who has been missing since Thursday last week.
Jan-Christian Bielenberg, aged 20, was last seen at Dolphin Retreat Backpackers after locking himself out of his room at around 2.20am.
Security camera footage shows the backpacker trying to open the door to his room before sending a text on his mobile phone and leaving the hostel at 3.43am.
Mr Bielenberg has not been seen since.
Police have concerns for his welfare and ask anyone who may have seen him or knows where he is to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
