Missing backpacker Niall McDonough

Police in Byron Bay are looking for an Irish traveller who has been missing for more than two days.
Niall McDonough was last seen by his girlfriend on Friday night when he left a hostel in Byron Bay to go for a walk.
The 30-year-old did not return, and the next morning some of his belongings were found on a park bench near the Cape Byron Lighthouse.
An extensive air, land and sea search has failed to find any trace of the Irishman and Police say they are also concerned that Mr McDonough suffers from a medical condition which needs treatment.
It is expected that Mr McDonough’s family will travel to Australia in the coming days.
He is described as being of white/European appearance, 170cm tall with a thin build, shaved red hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen bare-chested and wearing grey jeans with a Billabong belt and runners.
